Traveling through Europe with Kids 15 or Under? Use this trick to get ALL of them around for free!

If you’ve spent any time in Europe I’m sure you’re aware that policies are much friendlier towards kids on the other side of the pond. 1/2 price kids tickets are pretty common on most European modes of transport. However, while planning Camp Mom I came across a set of fares that seemed too good to be true. I didn’t want to blog about them until I had actually tested my ticket and it went off without a hitch…and it did!…

Camp Mom: The Las Vegas Pool Tour! 1 Mom, 2 Kids, 5 Pools, 10 Nights, 1Million SPF

The Deal Kids are getting spoiled…and so am I. As if almost a month in Europe wasn’t enough, we’re off in 9 days for 10 days in Las Vegas. This last minute trip is an oblication, but we’re fortunate enough to have Deal Aunt live in a place we love to visit! As Deal Dad said, play the world’s smallest violin for me… Again it’s just me and the Deal Kids, and to make it extra fun (and cheap) I’m…

Speculative Miles are Worth a Penny Each. No More. Usually Less.

I’m seeing a whole lot of pushing the US Airways 100% bonus buy or gifting miles offer as a good deal (and I got it in my affiliate inbox as well so I know why it’s getting pushed). Driving Overseas With tweens? Save This Post to Avoid a Nasty Surprise!

I’m starting to gather all of the details for our upcoming European family trip and wanted to share a tip that could save you a LOT of grief and money if you’re driving with kids overseas: bring your car seats with you. Camp Mom Europe (OG): Highlights and lessons learned

Part One: The plan After much research and a LOT of help on twitter (thanks, tweeps) I am happy to reveal Camp Mom 2013! To recap, Camp Mom is an idea I pioneered in 2012 where I spend the money we would have spent on our kids’ summer camp on a super-cool trip. As a budget guideline, I use the average day camp rate in the DC area of $400 a week, which I think is fair. That makes my…
